- HakihikoDecember 26, 2025Cozy Romance With Familiar Comfort "The Holiday" is a warm, charming romantic film that leans heavily into comfort and familiarity - and that's exactly its appeal. It's easy to watch, emotionally gentle, and perfect for when you're in the mood for something light and reassuring. The chemistry between the cast carries the story, making the romantic arcs engaging even when the narrative sticks to well-known genre formulas. The film takes its time, allowing relationships to develop naturally, supported by a cozy atmosphere and an inviting sense of escapism. While it doesn't reinvent the romantic comedy genre, "The Holiday" doesn't need to. Its strength lies in its sincerity and its ability to create a feel-good mood that lingers long after it ends. A pleasant, comforting watch - familiar, predictable, and undeniably charming.
- Rebecca BredinDecember 3, 2025I don't know how this movie can similtanously be one of my favourite romcoms and also be one of the worst movies I've ever suffered through. I absolutely love the story following Kate Winslet and Jack Black and would happily just watch their characters. The fact that the movie seems to push the storyline with Jude Law and Cameron Diaz as the primary storyline makes me angry because it is horrifically written with terrible execution. At this point, I fast forward through their scenes so the movie can still be enjoyed.
- djgab5December 26, 2025Great movie with a good storyline and fantastic actors!
- Jake LawDecember 9, 2025Awesome Christmas movie, cheesy and wonderful. The only thing I didn’t like was the relationship with Jack Black felt very forced.
- GabiDecember 26, 2025Two fast forward romance stories. 1 good and the other sub par pity love. It's a Hanukkah movie with a gardner named Jesus
- kaseJune 20, 2025Nancy Meyers movies are always worth the hype
- Robert C.December 24, 2025In the Christmas spirit !
- James TangDecember 2, 2024A charming holiday rom-com where the most touching relationship is the one between Kate Winslet's character and her 90-year old neighbor.
- UniqueMovies Deb HDecember 24, 2025Best Holiday Movie On The Planet!!! 🎄🎁🎄The storyline is absolutely fantastic!!✨ The acting is outstanding!! 🌹My favorite actors are in this movie!! - StationManagerDaveNelsonDecember 22, 2025Beth, our perky red-headed receptionist, recommended this film to me. She's always trying to find her own "Jude Law." Sadly, she usually just ends up making out with the UPS guy. One time she made out with Bill in a limo. I mean how could she do that? How could she... French her daddy? Anyways, The Holiday was a decent little rom com.
- mickerdooJuly 25, 2025Definitely a movie for girls, but I like some aspects of it. Arthur was a great character. A little predictable and obvious at times.
