- Scott SmithJanuary 5, 2026The first of the Hobbit trilogy, and really the first in historical order for the Hobbit and LOTR series. I recently watched the entire six movies in a row, starting with this one, and I'm watching all of the extended versions this time around. This was a great starting point, since the LOTR trilogy simply continues the story from where the Hobbit series ends. I love all of these movies and the characters/stories, so it's hard for me grade any of them below 5 stars. I've always loved the books since I was a child, and now I love these movies too. 👍🧙🏼♂️
