

The cancer-stricken policeman Stefan Lindman wants to spend a vacation in Mallorca with his partner and her daughter when he learns of the murder of his former colleague Herbert Molin. The trip to Mallorca is canceled immediately and Lindman goes to Sveg, where Molin lived after his retirement. Although the police in Sveg are less happy when Lindman interferes in the investigation, he wins the trust of the police chief Giuseppe Larsson.
