The Happy Hooker Goes Hollywood
Directed by Alan RobertsWhere to Watch The Happy Hooker Goes Hollywood
- jackmeatAugust 10, 2025My quick rating - 3.5/10. I only know I was not allowed to watch this when I was 7 years old on Showtime when it came out, and forgot all about i,t minus the title. Any horror movie was just fine...but not this. Guessing because Batman is in it LOL. You will see boobs in horror flicks as well, maybe not this many lol. And the simulated sex scenes are no more than you see on regular TV. Oh, the movie? Some "hooker" writes a book, and in this flick (This is a sequel, of course), and after it gains in popularity, big-shot Hollywood directors want to make it into a movie. Instead of doing it the right way, they try to swindle it out of the hooker (Martine Beswick), which leads to the whole rest of this nonsense. I don't think this was racy, even for its time. The comedy attempts to go slapstick and fails quite miserably. Aside from a few laughs with the bit players, about the biggest shock here was seeing people who smoke anywhere they want to LOL. Restaurants, airplanes were all allowed back then. This isn't some pioneer adult flick such as Taboo or Deep Throat, but if you want to see what Yoram Globus and Menahem Golan were doing way back then, here it is. I will say that my life is no more or less complete after wasting my time watching that. But I have still seen far worse movies.
