Where to Watch The Eight Mountains
- Kevin WardJuly 3, 2025Really beautiful movie about a lifelong friendship. Pietro and Bruno meet as young boys during the summer in Bruno’s lonely mountain village. Peitro’s family Summer’s there and spend the rest of the year in the city. Though life takes them along separate path’s they’re reunited with the passing of their shared father of sorts who’s last wish bonds the boys (now men) together, at least for their remaining Summers. The Eight Mountains is a rather epic yet meditative exploration of life, love, loss and true friendship set against the picturesque Italian Alps. Reminded me of Into the Wild, one of my favorite movies. I missed this at Sundance, but was glad to finally get to check this out.
