- gnrrainDecember 19, 2025Pretty good and brutal story. Quite a bit of this movie is intended for shock value and could have just been hinted at instead. However, gore hounds will be pleased. Don't expect a masterpiece and you'll likely enjoy it. Tentative recommendation to only people who strong stomachs and are not easily offended.
- Kevin WardAugust 24, 2025Of all the slasher films we’ve watched, it’s never really registered with me how infrequently we see children as victims of murders, let alone actually see them victimized on screen. I was definitely taken aback by those scenes. There’s also a quite brutal and lengthy rape scene. (Apologies for that, crew, since this was my slashpick). I think after Dream Home this is the second category iii film, I’ve seen. I could be wrong. I enjoyed it quite a bit. A discarded sack of human body parts sparks an incompetent police investigation that eventually traces it back to a restaurant that happens to serve some delicious pork buns. 🤔 You can probably guess where this is headed. Based on a true story apparently but it’s kind of funny that Anthony Wong stars as Wong, and Danny Lee stars as Officer Lee. I think there’s a few other characters that have variations of their actual names. Odd choices for a based on a true story. I’m choosing not to look too much into that true story claim though. 😆
