She is a wild young thing, the heroine of this drama, living along with her widowed mother high in the hills. She loves, and is loved by, a young man of her own tribe, a dare-devil of the worst kind. The widow, however, has seen enough of the world to encourage social ambitions and she takes her daughter and moves to a distant city. Without the girl the young mountaineer is unable to console himself. In the city the mother is seeking to force her daughter into an alliance with a fortune hunting Count. Hearing of this, the mountaineer seeks the city and the girl. Locating her home on the eve of the wedding, he climbs the rain-pipe to her room. Willingly she joins in an effort to escape. They are hotly pursued. Though ignorant of its workings the boy purloins a motorcycle and with the girl back of him they make a wild dash with the Count in an auto and several motorcycle policemen following close behind. When the couple come to an open drawbridge they rush onto it without a moment's hesitation and plunge, motor and all, into the water some forty feet below. Out of the city and across the state line they fly. In the mountains they live their own life as they see it, happy in each other's love.
