The Coffee Table Ratings & Reviews
- AngusMcNutzMarch 21, 2025I just feel spent after watching this. The level of anxiety and stress this film induces is astoundingly palpable. By the time it’s over, you’ll feel tight in the chest and desperate for fresh air. One of those films that seems like it’s more of a showcase for whatever emotion it’s driving (in this case: despair, catatonia, insane grief), rather than driving an overarching narrative. The kind of film you’re probably only going to watch once but you sure as hell won’t forget.
- ichi214April 24, 2025I'll say two things that actually worked for me in this one: 1. The acting and 2. the premise. That's it. Not a single other thing that I look for in a film moved my radar. I honestly found it hard to stay awake during it. Repeated and uninteresting dialog, constant blending of tones that I just did not gel with, daytime soap opera style lighting and edits. To sum it up, it was a 15-minute (at most) concept stretched out to an hour and a half. Felt like 3 hours.
- SpanktacularMarch 7, 2025Builds tension like no other movie.
