- 0 1July 10, 2025It's one of my favorite movies. Kim Yoon-seok gives one of the best performances of his career as a morally compromised ex-cop turned pimp. The scene with the grueling foot chase is on par with the best of Alfred Hitchcock’s thrillers. However, unlike Hitchcock’s stylized and manufactured suspense, The Chaser strips away the polish to deliver a sense of realism. It shows the raw desperation of the characters and the unforgiving, rain slicked streets of Seoul.
