- poorogue28. februar 2026Another movie that Sophie Thatcher absolutely carries. Without her it's 2 stars at best. Fantastic acting, terrible story line. Overly predictable and overuse of the same tropes over and over. Suspense building was good.

Director Rob Savage crafts tense, atmospheric visuals and a few effective jump scares, anchored by strong performances from Sophie Thatcher and Vivien Lyra Blair. However, once the monster fully appears, much of the mystery fades, and the film settles into predictable beats. It’s a competent, creepy adaptation of Stephen King’s short story—nothing groundbreaking, but a worthwhile watch for fans of moody, mainstream horror.

- DJ17. oktober 2024Man, did I not expect much from this film and boy was I proven wrong. Seriously, this is nightmare fuel for kids. This is everything it should have been and nothing I expected it to be. What a pleasant surprise. Scares were solid, acting good and storyline, although simple executed well. Great watch and if you have some teens, worth the scares!

Makes it a game to look for the monster jn the background! Always an exciting parlor trick! Note: The monster reminds me of two characters/creatures from Zelda lol
