- "THE MOVIE FANATIC"March 19, 2026The Boat - is a typical run of the mill horror flick, with very tropey supernatural elements sprinkled into it. I didn't like or dislike it, I just found it very MEH!! I wouldn't say to people not to watch it. I suppose that a one time watch is worth it. Having said that, that's all The Boat is imo a one time watch kind of movie, there's no rewatch value to be had whatsoever for me. Which is going to have a significant negative impact on my rating of the film tbh. Because the way I rate movies is based a lot around and to do with rewatch value. And unfortunately for The Boat it doesn't have that going for it. That's what for me is this films biggest weakness which is why I'm giving it an overall low ⭐️⭐️ & a 4/10 score 🤷

This was a great film, absolutely full of drama suspense.Whilst the concept of an individual being put into a situation isn't new the lack of anybody else to share the uncertainty with,was excellent...No screaming visions, No Love interest running about in makeup crying.Just a fisherman who has to overcome the nightmare he finds himself in without any rules or reason. Some of the scenes made me think "He made a mistake there, other scenes s "Hang on This boat is playing with him.Absoulety brilliant film .Put me in mind of "Gravity" or that film where a guy is left alone on Mars and waits for a rescue...or even "Castaway"..Best film wish there were more...
