Where to Watch The Bloody Man
- jackmeatSeptember 13, 2025My quick rating - 3.0/10. Well, the running time is a bit ominous (133 minutes), but timewise it works for me tonight. I checked streamers, and Vudu is the cheapest rental and has a release of 2022, so I am guessing this floated around for a while. Well, they have that '80s vibe pretty much nailed, even with the overly portrayed family drama, which I am hoping is acted this badly on purpose. I suppose it is a nifty novelty to have Tuesday Knight and Lisa Wilcox in this movie together. In case you aren't sure why that is, they were both in Nightmare on Elm Street 4. Like I said, novelty and really nothing more. The story is about as mundane as they get; the picked-on kid accidentally summons up the evil Bloody Man, who instead just wants to murder everyone. But as stimulating as that sounds, absolutely nothing happens for over an hour. As I mentioned, the acting is awe-inspiring in just how bad it is. I am still not sure if they were doing this on purpose, since doing so for an entire 2-hour movie is almost more like an accomplishment. The horror elements of this are terrible. The bloody man is literally a bald guy with some ketchup on him. The neat trick with this incredible makeup is that the blood stains on his face are almost always exactly the same. I am going to guess all his shots were all done the same day to get that effect. Then again, the quality of this leads me to believe the whole movie was done the same day. The kills are dumb, and I think the entire budget was blown on one single effect of tearing off a skin mask to reveal said bloody man's true face, that of every guy you walk by on the way to Starbucks (no link for them, they get enough publicity.) All you are left with is a disturbingly well-captured '80s feel filled with the usual family drama of old sitcoms for a great portion of this flick. Then it tries to turn down a horror path and crashes miserably. Over 2 hours later, you WILL wish for your time back. But if you make it through (stupid) and get through the credits, you get an actual tease for a sequel. Not a shadow's chance in hell, I suggest you watch this, or a sequel if it gets made. That is a generous 3 for our two ladies doing their thing, and the '80s vibe, since there is nothing good about the rest of this.
