Directed by Alexis Bloom7.595%81%
Using never-seen-before interrogation footage, this investigation of Benjamin Netanyahu and his inner circle provides an unflinching gaze into the private world behind the headlines. Petty vanity and a sense of entitlement lead to corruption and the Netanyahus' unwillingness to give up power. The extreme right senses opportunity in Bibi’s weakness, and the dominos fall.

The Bibi Files Ratings & Reviews
- Jacob O’NealJuly 5, 2025First things first, I support Israel, but I have never trusted Bibi Netanyahu. When I heard about this documentary and the involvement of Alex Gibney, I was immediately curious. The film delves into the corruption, personal favors and war mongering of him, his wife and some of the more recently appointed members of his cabinet. The documentary was able to get hours of interrogation footage, much of which you see in the film. Arnon Milchan, major Hollywood producer and former Israeli spy, for example, would constantly buy gifts for Sara Netanyahu like $40,000 Tiffany bracelets and boxes and boxes full of champagne. When he needed to make sure a tax break for him was extended, Bibi got on the phone and made sure it happened. When Milchan was kicked out of the USA Bibi called John Kerry and got his Visa reinstated. Miriam Adelson and her husband were constantly involved in quid pro quo with the prime minister. The documentary reveals how he’s attempted to neuter the Israeli Supreme Court to keep himself out prison, how he gave nearly $1 billion to Hamas and more. This does not paint him in a good light. Nor does it show his people any better, like his wife and son. Could this be a hit piece? Sure. Anything can be manipulated. I honestly hope it’s not true. It seems to be, though. Please be warned before watching this movie (find it on archive.org since Prime removed it with no notice just days after putting up for streaming) that it is very graphic. We clearly see the deviation of bombs, the aftermath, people shooting each other, a dog being murdered and Sara Netanyahu. The doc was strong and moving and hard to watch. But a doc like this has to be, given the subject matter. I’m not going to use this review to bash any one of our current or former administration, but for all our sakes, I hope Trump doesn’t keep following Netanyahu’s orders in the Middle East. My heart breaks for everyone over there in Israel, Gaza, Iran and anywhere else going through this stuff right now.
- Peter CharpentierJune 14, 2025Wow. It is amazing to watch Bibi lie like he's drinking a glass of water.
- findersJune 5, 2025A bit of an eye opener, albeit I fear a fair amount of bias in how the facts are presented. Very clever.
