George Lutz, his wife Kathy, and their three children have just moved into a beautiful, and improbably cheap, Victorian mansion nestled in the sleepy coastal town of Amityville, Long Island.     Classic, but zero reason to be 2 hrs long. And wtf happened to the sergeant?

    It felt like the entire movie was the second act, and in the end it just kind of went nowhere. Maybe because it was presented as a "true story," and they didn't want to invent an ending. I don't kow what was going on behind the scenes, but the end result was a total waste of two hours.
