The 400 Blows Ratings & Reviews
- justi7607February 27, 2025Excellent film of the Nouvelle Vague movement of cinema very influenced by the Italian neorealist movement.
- Rowan KrzysiakFebruary 12, 2025A film that deserves far more than a pithy review. On paper it's a fairly simple story but it's one weaved in such a way that forces the exploration of many unfortunate and sad contradictions. It feels like the kind of film that lodges itself deep in the back of your mind and years, perhaps even decades later it'll pop out and surprise you with some belated lesson. With that said, the actual watch is also enjoyable with grounded, believable performances and playfully balanced direction. Summary; film be good, go watch.
