Wealthy but unhappy couple Doña Lupe (Dina Bonnevie) and Don Paeng (Edu Manzano) have long yearned to have a child and by now will do anything to fulfill their wish. Lupe wants to participate in a ritual performed by women to invoke the gods to grant the blessing of fertility by dancing around a century-old Balete tree.
