- Scott SmithOctober 14, 2025I watched this movie because I'm a fan of Marc Maron, and I like indie movies. Also because it was the last film his partner Lynn Shelton directed and starred in before her untimely death from leukemia. At the time of her death, Lynn and Marc were writing a screenplay together...sadly, we will never get to see that film. Lynn was a gifted director, writer and actor. Marc is a gifted comedian, writer and actor (and a pretty decent guitar player, too. His guitar bits are used throughout the movie.). As a fan of Marc and Lynn, I enjoyed this movie. It feels genuine, even when it gets a little weird. R.I.P. Lynn Shelton.
