This is one of those films that somehow manages to fall short in every obvious way — and then keeps going, finding fresh angles from which to disappoint. Just when you think it’s hit bottom, it digs a little deeper. As an erotica-adjacent film, it doesn’t work at all — not that I was expecting much there to begin with. As a vampire story, it’s even worse. There’s no atmosphere, no tension, and no sense of myth or romance to hang onto. Whatever it thinks it’s doing, it never lands. You know that old joke: “Still a better love story than Twilight”? This isn’t. Not even close. And that’s saying something, because being worse than Twilight at its own game is a genuinely impressive failure. Nothing here connects. Characters drift, motivations feel random, and scenes exist without purpose or payoff. It’s not enjoyably bad, not memorably awful — just empty, dull, and strangely exhausting for something with so little substance. This is the kind of film that makes you reassess your decision-making mid-watch. 🥤 A lukewarm glass of something you didn’t order — tasteless, disappointing, and immediately regretted.
