In "Submarine Base," Alan Baxter portrays a protagonist devoid of emotion, resembling a robot in his actions. Meanwhile, the seaman/cop they rescue is portrayed with intense passion, yet this fails to resonate effectively. The saving grace of the film is its brief runtime, clocking in at just about 60 minutes.
