- "THE MOVIE FANATIC"10 de noviembre de 2025STIR OF ECHOES is a film that's full of atmosphere, has great suspence with high tension building all the way through and is really thought provoking as well, it just really has that sense of dread about it which is exactly what you want and need in a movie like this one. It has as well, some genuinely unnerving, creepy and eerie sequences and moments built throghout the course of the film such as the hypnotise scene and the glimpses he's getting in his head after as a result, with it peeling back the onion and slowly unveiling to us what's happened one dream sequence at a time is what I thought was one of the most powerful aspects of the film. Another element of it that I really loved was our three lead main characters Tom, Maggie, Jake and all of the acting performances from the side characters as well, they all feel like real people especially Tom and Maggie, like for example with the situation that's going on in the story and journey of the film where he's quite distracted and shut off from his family because he's got to try and work out and solve what this dead woman wants, which is something that you can relate to and see from Tom's point of view, however you can also really relate to and see it from the Maggies point of view as well because she has no idea what's going on with her husband because he's shut off and distant with her and the son and acting crazy, it's just the situation tearing the whole family dynamic apart and that's where you sympathise and side with both the Tom and Maggie which I thought added another layer to the film. Another strong area of STIR OF ECHOES was its jumpscares and how they were done and executed by combining the right visual with the right positioning and shot of the camera at the same time, there were really well utilised scares that feel earned. The film also has that dark tone about it that plays into the creepiness and eerieness very effectively. It's brilliantly shot, lit with strong Cinematography and Visuals And finally the 3rd act is very strong and really matches and goes hand in hand with the 1st and 2nd act in a very cohesive way which is a big positive and strength to have in any kind of film.
