Stinger
Directed by Melkamu Haile, Bruno TanyaStinger is a family drama about a brilliant 19 years old Bahati who dropped out of school due to financial constraints. Aching for vengeance against her polygamous father who consistently abuses her mother, she embarks on a journey to learn boxing only to find out that she can as well escape poverty through the sport. Struggling to ensure that Bahati drops the male dominated sport, her mother, Malaika, arranges a young man from a religious family to marry her off. In order to succeed in life Bahati must win the battle both at home and in the ring.
