Steve Jobs Ratings & Reviews
- romandini313 maja 2025"Bunch of intelligent people delivering arguments at superhigh pace" is how I would describe this film. It's fascinating to listen to if you are into stories that are told verbally rather than visually.
- pipanni9 sierpnia 2025By far the best of the Steve Jobs biopics, the movie overflows with great acting and memorable scenes.
- yae59 listopada 2025What you’re about to read isn’t a review of the acting—as to me, when characters are based on real people, real events and can be studied via real source material(film and video)what the actors do when they get in front of the camera isn’t acting as much as imitating or emulating. Given the talents of those doing the imitating and emulating, that part is amazing… Yeah, Seth Rogan is once again playing a version of Seth Rogan…but if you’ve ever caught an interview with “The Woz” you’ll understand why the “jump” from Steve Wozniak to Seth Rogan is more like a skip, and if a skip works…why not? So if I’m not reviewing the acting, what am I reviewing? This film’s direction—not in the sense of the guy who yells action and cut —but in the direction it takes with the story…“and I’m doing it as someone who’s been on the PC side of computing since the words MHz and blazing were used in one sentence…I know this because I wrote it…I’m also a huge fan of Aaron Sorkin…I know this because I have every episode of WestWing and Studio60 saved as MP3 files so I could listen to Sorkin’s crackingly crisp dialog without being distracted by actors or acting… For the generation being raised on cloud-computing and iPhones/ipads…a lot of this movie will play like either ancient history or a crash course in “how the sausage is made”…when all this generation cares about is eating it… Despite that, it’s important for them to get a sense of the “who and how” behind what many consider to be the last truly great, product-based, American brand—especially as stories like this—by which I mean stories that revolve and evolve around actual products—are coming up less and less….so sharing the ones that do, actually matter And that becomes my segue to my one relatively minor quibble with this movie…considering the age(or lack of age) that a goodly portion of streamer-aged viewers fall into…I would’ve liked this film to end with the iPhone…as that would’ve been the connective tissue for the generation that probably doesn’t feel that connected to the rest of it
- LD_5024 października 2025From great cinematography with time-accurate cameras, incredibly strong performances from every actor/actress on screen, witty dialogue, and complemented by a great score by Daniel Pemberton, this movie is not your average biopic. Instead of a cradle-to-grave story, Steve Jobs opts to share a glimpse of three key moments in the co-founders life with modern computing. At the same time, this film trades accuracy in its retelling of events for a more exaggerated reimagination of Steve Jobs as it examines who he was, his ambitions, and especially his ego, which is both his biggest strength and a source of alienation from those around him. This film largely relies on extremely strong storytelling through witty dialogue between Michael Fassbender, Kate Winslet, Jeff Daniels, and others. This film serves as both an examination and critique that humanizes the man behind the machine, highlighting Steve Job's "success" through his strengths, but especially his flaws.
- RTKDOOM11 października 2025This movies script and pace keeps things moving at such a rapid bounce that you can’t help but feel like a fly on the wall for the dramatic and tense unfoldings; your eyes and ears glued the whole time. Solid performances and direction!
- Hoàng Thiên Nguyễn21 czerwca 2025not the best film ive ever seen but the surroundest biography film ive ever seen
- Jamie Talbot16 maja 2025Every line in the script has been so carefully thought out. There’s so many different lines you can quote which hit deeply. The acting as a whole in the film was superb however Fassbender’s performance was a standout and he played the part of Jobs extremely well. Whilst the movie shows the Steve Jobs we all know, it also goes into his personal life and his struggles with emotional connecting with people which I really liked as it’s something that many people haven’t known about.
- Manuel Frangis2 lutego 2025I just watched Steve Jobs from 2015 and it is an easy 5 out of 5 stars for me. I love Apple and Steve Jobs so this movie was a must watch and it absolutely delivered. This is not just another standard biopic. It is a fast paced intense and brilliantly acted look into the mind of one of the most influential figures in modern technology. The movie is structured in a way that sets it apart from other biopics. Instead of following the typical birth to success formula it focuses on three major product launches in Jobs’ career. Each section plays out in real time showing the high pressure moments behind the scenes before he steps on stage. This unique approach keeps the story moving at a thrilling pace and makes every conversation feel urgent and important. Michael Fassbender as Steve Jobs is phenomenal. He does not try to imitate Jobs perfectly but he captures his intensity ambition and genius in a way that feels completely authentic. Every scene he is in is gripping and his presence commands attention. Whether he is arguing with his colleagues making impossible demands or delivering one of his legendary speeches Fassbender nails every moment. This is one of the best performances of his career. The supporting cast is just as strong. Kate Winslet as Joanna Hoffman is outstanding playing the one person who can truly challenge Jobs and keep him grounded. Her performance adds a much needed emotional balance to the movie. Seth Rogen as Steve Wozniak is another highlight. He brings depth and emotion to Woz making his interactions with Jobs some of the most powerful moments in the film. Jeff Daniels as John Sculley also stands out portraying the complicated relationship between Jobs and the former Apple CEO. One of the best things about this movie is its sharp and intelligent dialogue. Written by Aaron Sorkin the script is fast witty and packed with tension. Every conversation feels like a verbal battle and the back and forth exchanges are incredibly engaging. The dialogue alone makes this movie worth watching. The cinematography and direction are top notch. Danny Boyle’s direction keeps the movie visually interesting despite most of it taking place in small backstage environments. The way each era is filmed differently using 16mm for the early years 35mm for the middle and digital for the later years adds a unique visual touch that subtly reflects the changes in technology over time. The movie does not try to sugarcoat Jobs’ personality. It shows him as a visionary but also as a flawed and sometimes difficult person. It highlights his relentless drive his perfectionism and his complicated relationships with the people around him. While some moments may be dramatized the core of who Jobs was and what he stood for is captured brilliantly. For anyone who loves Apple technology or stories about ambitious visionaries this is an absolute must watch. It is not just a movie about Steve Jobs. It is a movie about innovation leadership and the cost of greatness. The intensity the performances and the storytelling make it one of the best biopics ever made. I have always loved Apple and Steve Jobs and this movie just reinforced why. It is powerful emotional and completely captivating from start to finish. One of my favorite movies and one I will definitely be rewatching.
