- Edwin M. N.January 25, 2026Watched it again on this Day and Man I gotta Say this Movie Holds up Really well .... It blends the entertainment of a comic and the imagination it invokes. It fuses it with heart and the blueprint of who Peter Parker is across all Universes while celebrating their differences. Then it breaks your heart. The ending felt just like a Comic Reset. I really Hope Spider-Man 4 Picks up tonally where it left off.... Please let us Get the Maximum Carnage Saga ....
- Tubeman72December 31, 2025Peter Parker swings into the cinemas again, for the third time within five years. Tom Holland emerges as the third cinematic Spider-Man of the twenty-first century. 'No Way Home' is the final piece in a trilogy for which Sony and Marvel/Disney, after a decade of wrangling over rights, joined forces to integrate Spider-Man into the kaleidoscopic Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The entertaining 'No Way Home' largely succeeds in this and, like many other films from the Marvel stable, creates bridges to even grander and more far-reaching adventures. In 'Far From Home' (2019), the second part of the triptych, the whole world came to know that Peter Parker is actually Spider-Man through the enemy Mysterio. Peter would like to undo this and asks Dr. Strange. However, something goes wrong with Dr.'s conjuring spell. Strange and so on, the Multiverse opens up in 'No Way Home', causing all kinds of Spider-Man enemies from alternate realities to appear. With its finale-like playing time of almost two and a half hours, 'No Way Home' runs quite smoothly. However, metal fatigue also occurs. This is not so much due to the above-average running time, but to the amount of pathos that the film repeatedly pushes into the viewer: with great powers comes great responsibility. Where the first Tobey Maguire Spider-Man film puts this motto into one film, the Holland Spider-Man emphatically spreads it over three films. There are moments when you think: come on, move on and talk less about your double life. Take an example of 'Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse', writer Phil Lord has a much fresher narrative pace here. What about the action in 'No Way Home'? That's generally fine. The action scenes are well dosed and in terms of visual spectacle, director Jon Watts leaves a lot to be desired. Especially the scene where Spider-Man clashes with his reluctant mentor, Dr. Stephen Strange, is a visual tour de force. It is a dizzying mix between Escher images brought to life and building-bending effects from 'Inception' (Christopher Nolan, 2010). However, there is also something to be said about the action scenes. Because some scenes take place almost entirely in the dark, the choreography is sometimes difficult to follow. As far as a superhero can be ordinary, the youthful Peter Parker from Hell's Kitchen in New York is one of the most approachable costume heroes. It therefore makes these films more light-hearted than, for example, the deeply patriotic and rock-solid, essentially boring, 'Captain America'. Creators Stan Lee and Steve Ditko already had the humorous approachability of Spider-Man in mind when they wrote the sentence “Just another service provided by your friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man!” introduced in the original comic. Peter Parker is also far removed from the demigods from the DC/Warner Bros universe. Spider-Man is truly one of us, and not an otherworldly being. All in all, the cuddliness of Peter Parker and the thoughtful fan service make 'No Way Home' a satisfying addition to the MCU.
