- Richard19. oktober 2025By the time Species III slithered onto DVD, the franchise had fully embraced its destiny: late night cable fodder for genre die hards and curious teens. Gone are the theatrical ambitions, this one’s pure B-movie survival, with a budget that screams “we spent it all on the goo.” The story picks up right after Species II, with Eve’s offspring rescued by Dr. Abbot and raised into Sara, a blonde bombshell with alien DNA and zero chill. She’s on a quest to find a mate, which naturally involves a trail of corpses and awkward seduction scenes. Enter Dean, a chemistry student who’s torn between scientific curiosity and basic survival instincts. Sunny Mabrey steps in as Sara and while she’s got the look, the script gives her little to do beyond posing and pouncing. Robin Dunne’s Dean is the reluctant hero and Robert Knepper adds some much needed menace as Dr. Abbot. The rest of the cast? Mostly there to be slimed, seduced, or shredded. The effects are low rent, the pacing uneven and the creature logic muddier than ever. But if you’re watching this on DVD, you already know what you signed up for: nudity, violence and just enough sci-fi babble to pretend it’s not softcore horror. It’s sleazy, silly and somehow still entertaining, like a microwaved leftover from the '90s. A direct to DVD descent into campy chaos. Species III ditches subtlety for slime, swaps suspense for skin and still manages to be weirdly watchable. It’s trash with tentacles and if it’s in your Plex library, you’re clearly curating with conviction.

En gruppe elite soldater får til opgave at stoppe hende, koste hvad det vil.
