Great movie and true story. Brings me to tears seeing how a father can forgive his son for material things and put focus on the One above. Some great awwww moments in the movie and some great laughs too.

Movie Review: Soul on Fire Man, this one got me. Soul on Fire hits in that quiet, unexpected way—the kind that sneaks up on you and reminds you just how wild and precious life really is. What really blows my mind is knowing this isn’t just Hollywood magic… there’s a real John O’Leary out there. A real kid who survived something unthinkable, grew into a man with purpose, and somehow turned pain into a message that lifts people up. The movie does a solid job honoring that. It doesn’t feel exaggerated or overly polished. It just feels honest. The film checks all the boxes when it comes to perspective. It taps you on the shoulder and basically says, “Hey… you may think you’re having a bad day, but look again.” And it works. You walk away feeling a little more grateful, a little more aware of what you’ve already got going for you. I definitely recommend it. It’s inspiring without being cheesy, emotional without being heavy-handed, and it leaves you with that small spark, the kind that can flip a rough day into a better one. If you haven’t seen it, give it a shot. It just might shift something in you. And if you’re a sucker for tearjerkers… keep that box of Kleenex nearby.
