An awesome addition to the Star Wars Universe! Total rewatchable and a wild ride!

After rewatch this movie is better than I remembered. It is very hated and I don’t understand why. It answers various plotholes in the Star Wars universe and has a great romantic storyline. Villain could have been better though.

Gave this another watch, and honestly, it’s not half bad. The characters have a ton of charm — the banter and chemistry really sell their friendship and heist crew dynamics. The action sequences, especially the Kessel run and that crazy tentacle creature scene, are a blast and actually tense in a way the first watch didn’t feel. Some of the story beats are predictable, and a few scenes feel a little rushed or thrown together, but it’s got enough humor, style, and energy to keep you entertained. Definitely better the second time around than I expected.

    This movie needed a sequel.

Solo is a good movie I don't care what those fucking nerds say

Not really what I'd grown to expect from the Star Wars series. An average adventure film.

Super fun ride in the old Stars Wars way. Ron Howard delivers. Don't expect Andor or Rogue One human reality of war stuff (which was just spectacular and the best of the best of Star Wars.) Just exactly what you would expect of Han Solo, dude just trying to make it and have a good time.

Though not near the best films in the franchise, it is still a lot of fun to watch.

eat your disneyslop. eat it i said. and smile while you do it. just like they do in the movie. everyone smiles so much all the time it gets unsettling. dude sees his gf is getting pounded by a mega evil guy , better crack the ol happy face :))))) horrible lighting in every scene it's so dark and washed out. chaotic action scenes that feel like too much is happening but also nothing happens at the same time. just a terrible movie made by looking at tik tok stats by blue haired ladies trying to appeal to 10 year olds. and yes emilia clarke is so beautiful that it distracts you but that has nothing to do with the movie does it.

Solo is a rollicking space adventure that feels like a love letter to the heist and buddy-film genres, reminiscent of Ocean’s Eleven meets Star Wars. Alden Ehrenreich channels a young Han Solo with the charm of a fledgling Indiana Jones, while Woody Harrelson adds Han’s mentor vibe reminiscent of The Empire Strikes Back’s older allies. The film captures the thrill of rogue antics, spaceship chases, and witty banter without relying on nostalgia alone. Even if critics complained, the film delivers a fully realized Star Wars playground, blending the spirit of Guardians of the Galaxy with the franchise’s own mythos.

Solo: A Star Wars Story is an underrated gem in the Star Wars universe. While it didn’t set box office records like other entries, it delivered exactly what fans have wanted for decades—a thrilling, character-driven adventure that shows how Han Solo became the smuggler, scoundrel, and hero we all know. Alden Ehrenreich brings surprising charm and wit to a young Han, capturing the swagger without turning it into an impression of Harrison Ford. Donald Glover shines as Lando Calrissian, nailing Billy Dee Williams’ smooth style while adding fresh charisma. Emilia Clarke adds intrigue as Qi’ra, and Woody Harrelson’s Tobias Beckett provides a rugged mentor dynamic that feels authentic. Visually, the film hits the Star Wars sweet spot—dirty freighter hangars, dusty desert worlds, neon-lit cantinas, and of course the legendary Millennium Falcon. The Kessel Run sequence is a high point: fast, chaotic, and perfectly Star Wars. The movie balances humor, heart, and action, while subtly weaving in themes of loyalty, betrayal, and finding one’s identity. For longtime fans, it’s packed with clever nods and lore-building. For newcomers, it’s simply a fun, high-energy heist adventure. Despite a rough release window and mixed initial reception, Solo has aged like a fine Corellian whiskey—it’s rewatchable, satisfying, and absolutely worthy of the Star Wars legacy. Verdict: A bold, stylish, and thoroughly enjoyable ride that captures the magic of Star Wars in a fresh way. A true five-star adventure. --- 🌌 “Did You Know?” Trivia The Kessel Run Explained: Han’s boast of doing the Kessel Run in “less than 12 parsecs” (from A New Hope) is finally shown—by navigating dangerously close to a black hole, he shortened the distance, not the time. Millennium Falcon’s Look: The Falcon appears sleeker and more polished because it’s still Lando’s ship. Its battered look in later films reflects Han’s rougher piloting and modifications. Cameo Connection: Darth Maul’s shocking appearance ties Solo directly to The Phantom Menace and the Clone Wars animated series. Chewbacca’s Age: The film establishes that Chewbacca is 190 years old when he meets Han, highlighting his long Wookiee lifespan. Donald Glover’s Dedication: Glover reportedly wore a cape everywhere on set—even when not filming—to stay in character as Lando. Clone Trooper Armor Reuse: Some background soldiers wear repurposed clone trooper armor as a budget-saving Easter egg, bridging the prequel and original trilogy eras.
