Smile 2 Ratings & Reviews
- Das_Lama6d agoDecent horror movie. If there is a part 3, I hope the evil tries to annoy Dave Mustaine from Megadeth.
- ScottOctober 20, 2024Lady Raven would have known what to do. Addressed a few of the issues I had with the first movie. Dropped some of the more dramatic elements around isolation, loneliness, and mental health that were made problematic by the end and leaned more into the silly goofy loose smiling It Follows monster. Very confident step into franchise territory that I'm actually excited for because the end sets up a literal world of possibilities.
- Kevin WardJuly 1, 2025🤩🤩 an excellent follow up to the first Smile with an awesome performance from Naomi Scott. Parker Finn has leveled up nearly every aspect of the franchise here. I liked the artistic camera angles in the first one, it feels like there’s even more in the sequel. Inverted shots, sideways shots, drone shots etc all look really great. But one of the most striking aspects of the camera direction is just how often the film is just a medium close up of Naomi Scott’s face held in center of the frame. It literally puts the audience directly in Skye’s headspace. Seems like it would be challenging from an acting standpoint, but Naomi really delivered. (And girl can slam a Voss water like a champ.) There’s really a lot of cool shots and some cool setups. The music video shoots looked great. And there’s one scene that involves a whole bunch of “smilers” that was really fun and looked like it would have been a blast to shoot. Awesome camera work all around. Loved the blood and gore. There are some truly gruesome moments as well as some excellent jump scares. Thematically, it touches on addiction, and also power struggles (agency & control). I really liked that it was just a re-hash of the themes explored in first film. Loved the ending too, even though there is one part that happens off screen that felt like a cop out, especially considering the amount of gruesome sh🤩 we had already seen to this point. Just felt like a weird choice. Love that cold open, though. Highly recommend.
- kiersten updikeJune 29, 2025i saw this in theaters and my GOD it was chilling
- Allie TranMarch 3, 2025How is the sequel even scarier?!
- UniqueMovies Deb HJune 27, 2025What is it with the ugly mole on her face??!! I just did a review for Smile 1 saying the same thing about that woman as well!! LOL! 🤣😜 Anyway, the acting is very good. It's so good that it seems real, as if I were in the room with them and it was actually happening. 👍👍👍 I love the theatrics, the costumes and the music 🎵🎶🎤🎙️🎸🎶 The dancing, choreography and the vocals are outstanding 🩰👠👠🎤🌹🎙️A Little to gory and bloody for my taste. But how humiliating for this Beautiful talented artist to be the only one to see The evil entity that's tormenting her!! Right in front Of her audience and fans!! I can only imagine how that would affect me being a former artist myself 🎤👠👠🎙️🌹🕊️ The language is way to strong towards the end of the movie and I don't appreciate the Lord's name being used in vain. And the seen in the car while they are driving, is a bit crazy overboard!! 😝😝😝🤣😜 Overall,,, this movie is very Freaky! And Disturbing!! Worth the watch. But I only need to watch it one time 🌹🕊️ I couldn't wait for the last ten minutes of the movie to be over. Got very bloody and disgusting 🤮🤢🤮OMG!!! The very ending is revolting!!!🤮🤮🤮🤮
- Pavel ShahoikoNovember 25, 2024Disgusting
- Henry KleinschmidtMay 29, 2025The right amount of fucked up. Ending was predictable though
- mg6mzMay 17, 2025It's just beautiful. The film oppresses with its atmosphere, and at the same time is not overloaded with screamers. The film perfectly conveys the emotions of the main character, and all that anxiety.
- TanalienNovember 2, 2024Smile 2 is an escalating staircase of tension. Starting off with a remarkable opening, I leaned into this film. Finn delivers a captivating journey, with the tension in his story rising like a Shepard Tone, a sound that feels like it can ascend in pitch forever. Eventually though, the film demands a fitting conclusion that halts the tone. That is why it is unfortunate that the ending of Smile 2 is unsatisfying.
- thereelvoiceMarch 28, 2025Smile 2 delivers more of the same albeit with better fashion and catchy pop songs. Fans of the first entry will find this film entertaining but undoubtedly it will feel like a retread. Naomi Scott delivers a strong performance as pop star Skye Riley and that alone is worth the one time watch.
- Mr. DMay 8, 2025Expected trash. Got a good horror. Cast performances? Solid. While it's a simple premise, it was an absorbing movie and home theater experience that uses the cast, script, soundtrack, and effects perfectly . It's a nasty trip. Part 1 is next.
- PielawnApril 28, 2025It's fed.
- RyezooFebruary 4, 2025I am so pleasantly surprised by this series. I feel like the story is always pretty predictable, but the execution of the scares and the setups are always fantastic. Not to mention that stunning opening sequence to the movie. Hands down the best part!
- c33nf0May 4, 2025Worse than the original in every way !! Dog eggs
