The acting is brilliant and helps to feed the feeling of unknown and unease. The movie has a few slow parts, but the number of backtracks and flipflops the plot does makes it well worth the wait.

It should have ended about 60 seconds before it actually did to leave us all guessing what was what. The debate would have been better. This is a movie that makes you think, not an action flick.

- Kevin Ward2025年7月1日Rote sci-fi “thriller” ✌️🏻😬✌🏻, that really didn’t do anything new or interesting until maybe the last 10 seconds. And even though I kind of loved the end, that parting shot, I can’t really recommend it. The script is bland and the performances don’t really do much to elevate it. The titular slingshot sequence it is absent of all tension. Kind of made me appreciate how good similar scenes from Apollo 13, The Martian, Interstellar, Gravity, etc etc. are. Not the case here. Even at it’s most tense, this was pretty boring. Skip.

This is really a psychological thriller, not science fiction. The science and physics were inaccurate and the crew of astronauts acted very irrationally.
