Pewnego dnia Laura ucieka z domu. Finguje własną śmierć, zmienia nazwisko i wygląd. Poznaje Bena i chce zacząć nowe życie. Martin próbuje jednak ją odnaleźć. [opis dystrybutora dvd]

As a teen i always thought this was a super sleazy erotic thriller based on the cover and the title. But to be honest it’s really tame. I suppose they didnt want to go down that road of horror but this really coulda used more teeth in its bite. Cause this is like getting bit by an old toothless dying dog. The director must have used all the grit and bite up in one of his previous movies, The Stepfather. All the thrills ultimately peter out into not really much of a thrill. The opening and the climax are the only points where anything really happens of consequence. And that climax is so lo-fi in terms of grandeur, i was kinda like “ok… i mean that last line reading was fun but thats all we are getting?”. Everybody except Roberts and Bergin are weird and unnatural. Bergin is unnatural too but it makes sense for his character, actually serves his character. And Bergin plays it with a level of camp that made me enjoy it. I’m glad one of the top reviews on LB is about how creepy and weird the way he drinks from a water fountain is. Overall though so many better thrillers out there imo. For how bonkers The Stepfather and The Good Son are (2 of the directors other movies i’ve seen) i am definitely disappointed. This isn't even close to a classic for me. It is nice and short though.

A true classic, never gets boring. Julia Roberts always delivers a brilliant performance.
