- carter288213 aprile 2026Silent Night, Deadly Night is a fun and unique slasher film. The film really feels like the original for the first 20 minutes or so and then it totally becomes it’s own thing. The cast is pretty decent and they all do a good job and they play pretty likeable characters. The kills are very solid with some really gory ones. The film has a romance that you really route for by the end. The film has a really cool and unique twist that makes the film so neat and it makes it really stand out from a lot of slashers. Overall it’s nothing incredible but it’s a pretty solid slasher that I really recommend.
- Zokkiie3 aprile 2026It’s a weird mix of fun and kinda forgettable. There are a few moments that really land—some genuinely tense bits and a couple scenes that lean into the chaos in a good way—but then it also drags in places where it shouldn’t. Feels like it can’t fully decide what it wants to be, which holds it back a bit. Still, there’s enough there to make it worth a watch if you’re in the mood for something a little messy and offbeat.
- Oʂɯαʅԃσ Rσყҽƚƚ30 marzo 2026This might be the most shockingly disturbing yet side-splittingly hilarious slasher-horror-comedy concept to hit movie theaters in over a decade. Absolutely not suitable for children, the religious or faint of heart, or any self-respecting film goer who has yet to experience the austere sublimity of that original heathen gem, Silent Night, Deadly Night (1984), this fresh-as-hell "reimagining" turns the heat up on its namesake's poison Christmas cookie recipe.
- Andy Griffin31 gennaio 2026In my opinion this is The best way to do this remake any other way I don't think it would have been as good. I love the schizophrenic or paranormal or whatever you want to call it direction they went and the love plot storyline whatever I was intrigued by everything I love this remake anyone making a remake should take notes from this movie in my opinion. The only negative thing that I will say is I thought the kill scenes would have been a little better The gore was there with a kill scenes were just okay but I can let that slide cuz I highly enjoyed the rest of the movie
- Jacob O’Neal29 gennaio 2026I’m old. I remember seeing the original movie as a child. I remember the controversy about it. I remember the terrible sequels. I also remember loving every minute of it. I also remember in 2012 when my friend, Jessica Cameron, told me she had a part in a new remake. So I watched Silent Night when it came out. Now we have yet another remake that dos follow the original a little closer…sort of. Imagine if Billy wasn’t actually a psycho but more like Venom or Dexter, reframing Billy as a sort of anti-hero, dispensing justice on the naughty rather than killing people because he was foxes to put on a Santa suit and went crazy. Some things work in the film. The casting of Rohan Campbell as Billy made this feel like we were seeing an alternate version of Halloween End, where an awkward and shy outcast finds love with a quirky girl with a serious dark side while hiding his true killer nature that the girl might actually embrace. This whole movie was convoluted, poorly edited and not very sharply written. But it has its charms, just not enough to recommend it to more than the die hard fans of slasher films or Christmas horror.
- Hipster ZOMBIE21 dicembre 2025There are bad remakes, there are unnecessary remakes, and then there’s the 2025 remake of Silent Night, Deadly Night—a film so utterly confused, neutered, and terrified of its own legacy that it feels less like a horror movie and more like a corporate apology tour wearing a Santa hat. Oh but they get to have a killer Santa kill a group of MAGA… er… Nazis. Yeah very subtle. If the writers really wanted to show this Santa killing “Nazis” they could have traded his axe for a semi automatic rifle and have this Santa wearing BLM patch with a queers for Palestine shirt. This isn’t a remake. It’s a hostage negotiation between nostalgia and studio cowardice—and nostalgia lost. With a writer or two in the room that probably have pronouns in their profiles. The original Silent Night, Deadly Night was grimy, mean-spirited, and unapologetically sleazy. It understood something modern horror seems allergic to: Christmas horror should feel wrong. It should feel like a VHS tape you weren’t allowed to rent, with a cover your parents would judge you for just holding. The 2025 version? It’s polished, prestige-washed, and terrified of offending anyone who owns a Hallmark subscription. Instead of leaning into the grimy grindhouse energy that made the original infamous, this remake opts to inject an unneeded supernatural element and try to make a political statement by not very subtly trying to equate white Christians to Nazis through very lazy and contrived writing. If you were expecting a fun blood soaked remake of a beloved b-movie, the only thing this film will deliver is a sad lump of coal all over your expectations.
- cultfilmliker16 dicembre 2025A stylistic sleigh ride filled with a plethora of B-horror film tropes - both good and bad! So dumb at points it was lovely. The woman beating the shit out of kids with impunity was hilarious. Also just the casualness of everyone when there are just sooooooo many like explicitly evil things happening is a good allegory for today! Smh Watched at Warren Regal 21
