This time everything turns out differently: The newly widowed Judith wants to complete the pilgrimage to Lourdes in memory of her deceased husband Arne. Neither Caroline nor Eva and Estelle are enthusiastic about the prospect of marching over hill and dale for days, but as good friends they of course join the grieving Judith. What initially begins as a varied hike through the Pyrenees, however, soon turns out to be a sweaty exertion. The different temperaments increasingly lead to quarrels and mutual taunts. As if that weren't enough, Caroline's young professional colleague and admirer Paul suddenly appears and joins the team of four, which embarrasses the otherwise cool lawyer. On the stony path, the women face repressed conflicts and longings. Housewife Eva remembers that she originally wanted to be a doctor before she began to read every wish from the eyes of her spoiled family.
