Sicario Ratings & Reviews
- COCOApril 12, 2025That line delivery from Benicio del Toro is everything. “Time to meet God.”
- Jakeys7d agoExpectations were sky high for this, and it was really good... but Villeneuve has other, better movies in his repertoire. Don't get me wrong, everyone is great in it, I love the subversion of Emily Blunt's role and the fact you can debate who was right in what they were doing, parts are captivating, it was really good just... I expected "this is amazing, best Villeneuve movie ever" and I came away going "Prisoners was easily better than that."
- Vincent ReggianniniNovember 28, 2025Denis Villenueve’s shockingly direct and serious tale of the drug cartel’s grip on society, and what it forces people to live and deal with on a daily basis. Emily Blunt is Kate, an intelligent but wet-behind the ears FBI agent battling both sides of a deep and endless clash tearing apart people’s lives and society. The world is not pretty, despite Kate’s altruistic ideologies. She is literally in the land of the wolves, and not matter what side she tries to police she is fighting a losing battle. Benicio Del Toro is an all-too-serious weapon using both sides of his world to avenge the elimination of his family. He will fight anyone getting in his way, but he knows who to latch onto and use to get what he needs - and the black ops from the US who “employ” him are all too aware of this tenuous relationship. This is not a pretty world, and when you enter this realm it is impossible to leave un-scarred. Villenueve paints a magnificently oppressive atmosphere while keeping things mysterious and taught. Josh Brolin is a seemingly aloof and all-too-tired black op (?), skirting the laws and using who and what he can to keep Del Toro focused. You won’t know who to root for, and you know the ending result will be bloody and savage.
- Mistah_JNovember 22, 2025Worth every minute
- StairwaytothestarsOctober 27, 2025Sometimes you have to get down and dirty to exterminate the thugs, and extreme measures are justified for pure evil in the dark and gritty world of SICARIO. Matt Garver is such a badass that he wears flip flops!
- Barry JonesMarch 12, 2025Really great movie, well written and the all star cast makes this movie that much better the action is great and there is a lot of tension build definitely 4 and a half stars
- Coops_71September 17, 2025Great performances by all the cast. For me Sicario shows us humanity trying to understand nature. Humanity follows rules & laws, while nature doesn't care about any of it.
- cursedbagsSeptember 9, 2025Time To Meet God.
- digitalk8August 24, 2025Violently entertaining. A peak into the war on drug cartels and how the US justice system is useless if you play by the rules.
- HDTechPROAugust 9, 2025Sicario (Part One) - A gripping masterpiece with outstanding performances, portraying the relentless fight against terrorism with raw realism. The intense scenes hit close to reality, making the experience both powerful and unforgettable.
- ayayronFebruary 23, 2025Throughout the film you know as much about what's going on as the protagonist: nothing
- Seaborn0004October 23, 2024A masterpiece!
- mickerdooAugust 4, 2025So dark, gritty and violent. Loved the setting. Cast was really good. Del Toro is incredible. Blunt held her own with the guys.
- Lord JugginsJuly 25, 2025Got told by a friend they really enjoyed this, well after watching Landman and Yellow Stone by TS recently I thought great I’ll watch this…. Well I was disappointed, took me several short hauls to watch it to its conclusion and I was left disappointed. Emily Blunt plays a great character and there are some other good names involved, but it just didn’t grab and hold my attention, maybe the wrong day or week to watch it, but can’t recommend myself.
- M08YJuly 17, 2025Gritty and hard hitting, Sicario is less of a film and more of a window into the violence of the cartels. Emily Blunt knocks it out of the park with her performance that takes the watcher out from their comfortable setting and into the trenches so to speak.
