- Matthias_812April 3, 2025What was supposed to be a fun Spring Break road trip to the beach turns into a Rear Window-esque run for your life. Playing on Alfred Hitchcock even more- Shallow Grave opens on its own rendition of the infamous Psycho shower scene. Their trip doesn’t go to plan as they break down in a small town and their crossing with the local corrupt sheriff sets them on a flee for their lives. It’s another play off Macon County Line, regardless of all these borrowed elements from other films- Shallow Grave is a tense thriller and gets downright mean. Your car breaking down when traveling somewhere unfamiliar is already a worry. Shallow Grave plays on that, twisting the element of the one department that exists to help you instead becoming the one to fear.
