À la fin de l'été 1939, l'alpiniste autrichien Heinrich Harrer, qui rêve de conquérir le Nanga Parbat, sommet inviolé de l'Himalaya, accepte de l'argent nazi pour y planter le drapeau à croix gammée. La guerre éclate. Prisonnier des Britanniques à la frontière de l'Inde, il s'évade. Commence alors une longue errance qui se termine à Lhassa, résidence du jeune dalaï-lama avec qui il se lie d'amitié.

- ርልዪረ4 février 2025Brad Pitt plays his role very well, and it is a good film covering the Chinese invasion of Tibet and the resultant flight of the Dali Lama. However, inevitably, it is a bit softened for the Hollywood type audience. I still enjoyed seeing it though there are some other good films out covering this perid that are also worth seeing
