Directed by Richard DonnerFrancis Xavier Cross is a cynical, mean spirited television executive, he treats his loyal assistant with contempt. He just sacked a member of staff on Christmas Eve for simply disagreeing with him, and he's alienated himself from his brother who still insists on inviting Frank to Christmas dinner despite him refusing to go every year. However, Frank is forced to learn the true meaning of Christmas when he's visited by three ghosts.

- RichardOctober 19, 2025Saw this one in the cinema when it came out and it felt like Christmas got mugged by sarcasm and then hugged by sentiment. Bill Murray plays Frank Cross, a cynical TV exec who’s more interested in ratings than holiday spirit. It’s a modern retelling of A Christmas Carol, but with network satire, ghostly chaos and Murray doing his best “emotionally constipated but redeemable” routine. The ghosts are wild: David Johansen as a cab driving Ghost of Christmas Past, Carol Kane as a fairy with a mean right hook and the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come looking like a TV tower from hell. The tone swings hard, one minute it’s slapstick, the next it’s existential dread. But somehow, it works. The ending is loud, messy and oddly moving. I loved the energy, the weirdness and the way it made adult years feel chaotic, sentimental and just a bit haunted.

- Aaron SladeMarch 29, 2025Another Bill Murray movie where he starts out as a smartass but converts to being a nice guy. That describes every Bill Murray movie doesn't it? Its ok I guess, but its definitely from that period in the late 80s where they were just making absolute dogshit movies,
- ThorpTVFebruary 11, 2025Best movie ever made incredible acting with a meaningful plot.
