- Joshua Heney2026年2月3日A very silly movie to say the least. This is the kind of movie where you’ll want to keep an open mind. Reason being is there’s a lot that happens unexpectedly. There were a few moments where I was unsure of what was going on. This movie has a lot of really cool action which really makes it a worthwhile watch. Was expecting this to be more of a comedy, but it’s more of an interesting action packed movie.

- KGM SOSA2025年12月27日This movie isn’t just great it’s borderline flawless. ‘Scott Pilgrim vs the World’ is the most visually unique & stylistically bold film made. It’s so wildly unique in its visuals, editing & graphic style that watching it genuinely feels like a psychedelic trip. The constant use of comic-book panels, video game HUDs, sound effects & anime-style flourishes creates an aesthetic that’s unlike almost anything else in cinema. It’s a masterpiece not in a serious way but in a dumb, fun, hyper-stylised way that fully understands what it is. There’s genuinely nothing else like it. I honestly don’t know another movie that does this style this well. The visuals alone make it unforgettable. Every frame is bursting with personality. The video game UI elements, combo counters, boss fights & comic-style visuals aren’t just gimmicks, they’re woven directly into the storytelling. A masterpiece, not in a serious arthouse way, but in a pure, dumb-fun, lightning-in-a-bottle kind of way. Ramona Flowers is obviously beautiful, I had a huge crush on her as a kid but rewatching this as an adult made me realise something important: Knives Chau is absolutely stunning. A beautiful Asian goddess. My lord, she’s pretty. This may just be my fetish for Asian women but she’s more eye candy than Ramona. The acting is intentionally cheesy, that’s the point. This cast is stacked with talented actors, but they’re very clearly being directed to lean into exaggerated, awkward, borderline ridiculous performances. It’s supposed to be silly. It’s supposed to feel cartoonish. That deliberate cheesiness is exactly what makes the movie work as well as it does. It knows exactly what it is and commits fully. I usually have way more to dissect in my reviews, but honestly I don’t need to here. This is just a fun-as-hell, unforgettable, insanely aesthetic, cheesy, visually striking movie that is endlessly rewatchable & insanely creative. It’s one of those movies that feels like it shouldn’t exist yet somehow does. An easy 10/10.

- Richard2025年11月9日This one doesn’t just adapt a comic, it becomes one. Edgar Wright turns every frame into a panel, every punch into an onomatopoeia and every transition into a visual mic drop. Split screens, pop-up stats, anime eyes and 8-bit flourishes it’s like your Game Boy and your manga shelf had a cinematic baby. Michael Cera plays Scott like a Canadian slacker with a heart full of basslines and bad decisions. Ramona Flowers skates in with seven evil exes in tow and suddenly we’re in a boss rush dating sim with emotional baggage and killer sound design. The cast? Stacked. The fights? Stylized chaos. The soundtrack? Absolute banger. It’s fast, funny and unapologetically weird. A cult classic that flopped in theaters but found its people later, people like us, who remember what it felt like to fall in love with someone who had levels.
