*Saand Ki Aankh* tells the incredible and inspiring true story of Chandro and Prakashi Tomar, two grandmothers who became champion sharpshooters in their 60s. The film is a heartfelt, if sometimes uneven, celebration of their spirit and a powerful statement against patriarchy. The Good: The film is anchored by the powerhouse performances of Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar. They share a wonderful chemistry and fully commit to their roles, effectively capturing the humor, resilience, and quiet defiance of the "Shooter Daadis." The story itself is undeniably powerful, highlighting a triumphant tale of female empowerment and camaraderie that is both moving and entertaining. The screenplay successfully balances genuine laughs with poignant moments of struggle. The Bad: The most significant misfire is the distracting and unconvincing prosthetic makeup used to age the lead actresses. This, along with the controversial casting of younger women in elderly roles, often pulls you out of the narrative. The film can also be tonally inconsistent, and its narrative sometimes feels repetitive and overlong, with a less-than-gripping pace in the first half. Ultimately, *Saand Ki Aankh* hits its target with its emotional core and strong lead performances, even if its technical execution sometimes misses the mark.
