Rocky V Ratings & Reviews
- CoffeeJesus666December 19, 2025If there is a red headed stepchild in the Rocky series it's 5... But hear me out. This movie really tries. I enjoy it as much as 3 and 4. But they tried to bring the story back to being a more emotional, family oriented film. All of the characters play their roles very well (with the exception of a couple of kid actors). The shots harken back to the original Rocky movie. They tried to make it look gritty but there is a little too much Hollywood glits for that to work. There is a scene in Mickeys gym that makes me cry every time I watch this movie. So much in fact that in my bakery I have Apollos Red White and Blue tights and Mickeys Cuff Link... This movie has heart. I feel like the work print does more justice to the fight scene (you can search it on YouTube). This is worth watching. Try not to let the naysayers infect your mind.
- klit75September 20, 2025It's just a bad movie
- wf625June 30, 2025This movie was very disappointing
- tmmzhJune 14, 2025I’m not sure what the beef is that people have with this movie. I put off watching it for decades because everybody told me how trash it was. And I just watched it for the first time… and I think it’s just as good as any of the other Rocky movies in the franchise. It’s got a lot of heart and it’s got a great comeback and it’s got a really good ending. So I don’t know what the deal is with the critics
- ርልዪረJanuary 26, 2025I actually don't hate this movie as many people do but I will admit that it is a pretty messy movie. The problem is the plot, it has way too much going on at first it's about Rocky going broke then moving back to Philly to his old job then make an empt to pass the torch but takes it back then we need to establish that George wants Rocky to defend the title against Cane then we need to establish to that Adrian doesn't want to fight again following the Drago match then we need to establish that his son has a bully then we need to establish that George corrupted Tommy for a world title shot & turn heel on him and finally we need to establish that Tommy is a nobody without someone on his side. I tell ya it has one of the most messiest plots ever! Honestly this movie should have been focus on Rocky VS Gunn or Rocky VS Can sure it would make the story stale but at least it would have focus in the plot. Like I said I don't think it's a bad movie I think it's a bit overhated for it's own good but I will it does deserves a bit criticism for exaggerated it is, there's clearly many different plots they could use to make this movie doable but instead they gave us a messy movie that wasn't good in the slightest.
