Rocky Ratings & Reviews
- Elliot047February 17, 2026This is an Idealistic film. Protoganist has larger than life role. I can see this film working back in the 70's, but I'm coming from the age of people who have seen films like 'The Smashing Machine and Million Dollar Baby', and for that audience, this might not be impactful or may look like a formula-based film at least structurally. However, I realise the commercialisation of this film in several Parts, building its own universe and fan base, inspiring a generation of people and filmmakers combined. This is a blockbuster, no doubt. Is this artistically creative? I don't know.
- tellumFebruary 2, 2026Ground breaking movie for many reasons, a definitive film for Sly and the 70s. A blue print for sports dramas, romantic dramas, lower class plight dramas, mental health dramas, and drama dramas.
- Ryan BlanchetteJanuary 30, 2026A love story with a little boxing.
- dodgyroge74@yahoo.co.ukJanuary 16, 2026It's a knockout of a movie.
- JakeysDecember 26, 2025Excellent movie. You can't help but cheer for Rocky, though I'm not sure he's meant to block punches with his face. There is one rough and outdated courting scene between Rocky and Adrian though that I would hope Sly would write differently today.
- Cappy JuneAugust 20, 2025Absolute classic. Incredible story and a great capture of life in the 70's. 5/5.
- heat79November 2, 2025One of the greatest films of all time
- CoffeeJesus666December 19, 2025There are few movies made as well as the original Rocky. I recommend it to anyone and truly think of it as top cinema. Stallone is perfect and the star of the movie is Phillidelpha PA. It is the under cover love story you didn't know you were watching... I won't get into detail. There's no reason why you haven't seen this movie yet ... In fact there's no reason why you're not watching this movie right now!
- MamboNumber5August 3, 2025In a word: 🥲
- JameslikesmoviesJuly 25, 2025Really good movie the end was awesome. The boxing scenes were great. Cannot lie. It’s probably in my top 10 favorite movies.
- wf625June 30, 2025This movie is a classic. The rocky trilogy is probably my favorite movie series ever and this is an amazing beginning to it
