Risque Ratings & Reviews
- CallumJanuary 10, 2026⭐⭐⭐½ – Risqué – Style, swagger, and revenge in neon. My one-line synopsis would be: boobs, bums, and babes with guns — and honestly, the film knows exactly what it’s selling. This isn’t high-class cinema, and it never pretends to be. At its core, it’s a heist-revenge story about strippers reclaiming agency and settling scores. The setup is familiar: an “older” dancer pushed out, a spark of injustice, revenge plotted, and old pals brought back into the fold. You won’t get points for originality here, because the beats are exactly what you’d expect. What does work in its favour is execution. Compared to a lot of schlocky stripper-revenge movies, Risqué looks surprisingly good. The production value is higher than expected, the direction has confidence, and despite the cast lacking big-name stars, it never feels like a bargain-bin effort. That alone makes it stand out in a very crowded sub-genre. Visually, it’s loud and vivid. There are plenty of dream sequences, lots of neon-soaked colour, and a pace that barely pauses long enough for you to catch your breath. It doesn’t always let moments settle, but that relentless energy is part of the appeal — it keeps things fun, flashy, and forward-moving. It’s not deep, it’s not subtle, and it’s not trying to be. But it is entertaining, better made than it has any right to be, and well worth a watch if you’re in the mood for something bold, glossy, and unapologetic. 🍸 A neon-lit cocktail with a kick — flashy, sweet, and more enjoyable than you expected once you lean into it.

- EulerJanuary 5, 2026I found it funny. I even liked the acting. The casting is pretty good. Actually, it is the photography (camera work and edition) that's weak.
