Resident Evil: Apocalypse Ratings & Reviews
- Kevin JamesOctober 25, 2025It's no Paul Blart Mall Cop, but it was pretty good.
- Kammus Arturious Magnus MaximusOctober 26, 2024A family favorite
- NiztradamusMarch 26, 2026The action, great. The sound, bombastic. The story fine. BUT for a real RE fan this is the point where they have ditched the canon completely and made it worse. I won't go into details but one minor flaw, even most fans get wrong, IT WAS NOT A NUCLEAR BOMB that they dropped on Racoon City. It was a thermobaric bomb. Nemesis is all wrong. Jill, while cool, isn't our Jill and so on. Still a fun ride but I remember now why I, as a fan of the games, stopped watching after this one.
- makdelartMarch 24, 2026It’s just as poor as the first one, though, in my view, moving the action to the city does add a bit of variety to the settings. It’s unclear why the filmmakers decided to include Lara Croft here, which only makes the film seem even more absurd.
- Martin L.December 8, 2025A classic.
- AaronOctober 20, 2024love both film amazing fighting scene
- RipLinesManApril 8, 2025Resident Evil: Apocalypse wants the intensity of Event Horizon (1997), but swaps Dr. Weir’s unhinged descent for a flatly-written Alice who solves every problem with a kick and a squint. Captain Miller wrestled with cosmic damnation while Jill Valentine wrestles with bad dialogue, and Nemesis, meant to be terrifying, has all the menace of a clunky fridge compared to the raw, soul-ripping terror of the gravity drive. Where Event Horizon made hell feel personal, Apocalypse just makes it feel like Tuesday in a bad video game adaptation.
- HakihikoOctober 3, 2025Good Chaos, Weak Core "Resident Evil: Apocalypse" continues the franchise with plenty of action, flashy visuals, and a darker tone, but it doesn't quite rise above being a mid-tier sequel. The movie leans heavily into spectacle, with explosive set pieces and an increased emphasis on fan-favorite characters from the games. There's a certain guilty-pleasure charm to the chaos, and if you're here for over-the-top zombie action, you'll probably get a kick out of it. That said, the story is thin and predictable, and the dialogue often falls flat. The pacing swings between frantic and sluggish, leaving some moments that drag despite all the noise and movement. While the lead performance carries some weight and the action is at least entertaining, the film misses opportunities to build real tension or atmosphere. Overall, "Resident Evil: Apocalypse" is serviceable for fans who want mindless fun, but it's far from a standout. A decent watch, but nothing more than a 6/10.
- A. VarsakelisJune 14, 2025Good action movie. Had lots of jump scares that got me every time. It is a zombie movie so it is an over the top tech driven story, and it good. Lots of action and fight suspense. It was fun to watch!
- DigitalDisappointmentMarch 3, 2025Absolutely terrible series of movies. They bear no resemblance to the game nor do they do a good job of being a movie in their own right. It's like the most half-assed effort all around.
