Red Planet Ratings & Reviews
- ርልዪረMarch 3, 2025I was amazed when reading so many bad reviews . O.K. there're no spectacular Aliens and we're not blinded by non-stop special effects. The movie has more realism than the traditional Holywood science fiction stuff. Many parts of the Mars mission were based on the NASA reference Mars mission . The Mars explorer spaceship is build in Earth orbit . There're 6 crew-members . Artificial gravity to stimulate adaptation to Martian conditions . AMEE a multi-purpose robot with aerial probe . Cushioned landing . Wearable spacesuits . Other points of realism were the accurate 'fire in space' sequence, and the computer technology used by the crew. Red Planet could have been better, but it's decent compared to most Holywood products. Moreover, real science fiction is a very small niche market and will never draw nor encourage a broad audience. If you're a fan of science fiction, looking for more realistic spaceflight stuff, watch Red Planet .
- et1123April 13, 2025This movie is a nice little suspense action sci-fi movie. It is what it is, if you like Val, you will enjoy this movie.
- Rolando AlvarezNovember 12, 2025In my opinion it’s a great movie and the Martian ripped off some of the ideas.
- Johan PotgieterJune 15, 2025Good addition to the Sci-fi genre. I enjoyed it and would recommend.
- Thomas AdkinsApril 3, 2025Decent space sci-fi movie!
- victor forzaniNovember 9, 2025Saw this movie before and was good I recommend it
- ZokkiieNovember 8, 2025Looks cool, starts promising, but kinda fizzles out. Val Kilmer tries, the Mars setting is neat, and the robot’s fun, but the story’s a mess and the characters are flat. Not awful—just forgettable.
- Espen LundNovember 6, 2025Bored me alomst to tears. Fell asleep so I had to rewind 30 minutes.
- adam3199July 21, 2025Just as bad as it was 25 years ago when I rented it from Blockbuster
- Mister ArnMay 23, 2025The "Red Planet" is overdramatic with contrived disasters that get more ridiculous as the film progresses.
