Rebel Ridge Ratings & Reviews
- MobZorFebruary 5, 2025This is the best movie I have seen in a long time. It's gripping and is riddled with corruption at every turn. Must-see for any crime movie lover.
- Paul WalshMarch 3, 2026Another banger from director Jeremy Saulnier. He has never really disappointed me and this film is no exception. The movie is so entertaining, and the characters are a joy to watch.
- flavo43December 21, 2025Rebel Ridge is a clever, fast‑paced action thriller that wastes no time pulling you into its world. What impressed me most is how the film weaves real‑world issues—particularly civil forfeiture and the corruption it can breed in small municipalities—into a gripping, high‑energy narrative. Rather than feeling preachy, these themes are integrated naturally, giving the story weight without slowing its momentum. The movie also touches on the growing militarization of local police forces, adding another layer of tension that feels uncomfortably relevant. The action sequences are tight and well‑executed, keeping the pace brisk and the stakes high. Several cast members feel perfectly matched to their roles, bringing depth and personality that elevate the material beyond standard genre fare. Rebel Ridge succeeds as both an entertaining thrill ride and a sharp commentary on systemic abuse, making it a surprisingly thoughtful entry in the action genre.
- sallipopsDecember 26, 2025Solid action during some scenes. Plot was a little scattered at times. Could have been a bit shorter too.
- ayayronFebruary 15, 2025"Guns don't kill people. People kill people": The Movie
- SpoonsAugust 18, 2025Rebel Ridge (2024) is a decent corrupt cop thriller. Entertaining enough but caught in the middle. Too light for the plot, too flat to be funny. A solid time killer, best suited for when you just need something to watch.
- Chris CNovember 10, 2025What could have been a standard "small town corrupt cops" action thriller ends up being a lot more, due to clever twists on the premise and great acting from Aaron Pierre. It's nice to see an "ex-Marine" protagonist that isn't a grizzled combat vet who fires as many pithy one-liners as he does bullets. Instead, he's calm and steady and uses his head instead of guns. This movie won't win awards, but it's definitely worthy of watching, as a more-than-solid ride that's entertaining until the end.
- Morgan MaurerMay 16, 2025Very good film, there was really good pacing to the thrills and suspense!!
- MezevenfSeptember 23, 2025Good action flick, nothing special.
- Kevin WardJuly 1, 2025So good. The tension carried from start to finish. Evil Don Johnson is the best Don Johnson. And I loved the emphasis on non-lethal combat. On the downside, I think I just introduced my wife to Aaron Pierre.
- DanglyAnteaterJune 25, 2025Thousands of dollars for a used Salsa with a broken rear wheel? Ridiculous.
- HakihikoJune 20, 2025Tense, Smart, and Gritty "Rebel Ridge" is a gripping thriller that delivers exactly what you want from the genre - intensity, clever writing, and a protagonist you can root for. The pacing is sharp, keeping the tension alive throughout, and it knows when to explode into action without ever becoming mindless. The movie is driven by strong performances, especially from the lead, who brings a grounded energy to the chaos. The atmosphere is thick, almost claustrophobic at times, thanks to solid direction and an unflinching look at themes like systemic injustice and survival. While not reinventing the wheel, "Rebel Ridge" elevates familiar elements with smart execution. The script is lean and punchy, the visuals are gritty without feeling forced, and there's an underlying anger in the storytelling that gives it emotional weight. A tense and satisfying ride with brains and brawn in equal measure.
- juicetoonApril 15, 2025Now that’s a movie
- Vic Da GodApril 13, 2025Awesome movie. Best I'ver seen in a while. Excellent action, while also recognizing real issues of societal corruption
- DevasinFebruary 5, 2025Such an excellent movie and so worth the watch!
