- tmmzhJune 15, 2025What. The. Hell. Was this? Seriously. I like campy. I like offbeat. I don’t even mind wacky. And sure, I don’t even mind a little bit of genre mixing. …But the problem, is that the movie doesn’t do any of those things well. And it also drags out the storyline to an excruciating snail’s pace. This could’ve been maybe a just ok short film if everything wrapped up in 20 minutes.
- John HomenMarch 16, 2025Not worth the time, or mental anguish Imagine you attend a party filled with your partners friends and coworkers, the setting is interesting and the people full of energy. You try to be a part of the evenings conversations, but the guests only speak to each other via a series of inside jokes, and hold spoken tales of places and events you've never heard of. That would be a less frustrating version of the story that PotG lay out for us. The direction given to the actors plays like notes given over a koren war era handset, and then poorly related thru a beta version of google translate. The visual elements of the film, while making almost no sense in the greater scheme of things are interesting to look at, and is a welcome change to paying attention to the acting going on. In fairness, i managed to get only 60 minutes into the film, somehow they have another 45+ minutes to go. If i do revisit the film at a later date, either seeking closure or when I hit a peak of masochism, the film will be on mute and the subtitles will be off.
