By 2004, Prince had been through a lot. By having a public battle with his record label, changing his name to an unpronouncible symbol and scrolling the word "slave" on his cheek, Prince seemed almost crazy. The death of his and then wife Mayte Garcia son had been a terrible loss. Devastated, Prince suck into his work releasing his new album, Musicology, and performing with Beyonce at the Grammy Awards. The following month, By being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame by Alicia Keys and performed a tribute to the late George Harrison, put Prince back on the map.
