Primal Rage

A scientist at a Florida university inadvertently creates a "rage virus" while performing experiments intended to restore dead brain tissue in baboons. When a journalist for the college paper breaks into the campus lab, he's bitten by one of the infected baboons; the virus soon spreads to a trio of rapists and a valley girl, all of whom go on killing sprees.

My quick rating - 4.8/10. Not sure, but maybe in 1988 this would be edgy but surely isn't anymore. After testing the regeneration of dead brain tissue in baboons, a new "virus" is created that when transferred turns people into blood thirsty maniacs. They really couldn't decide if they wanted them to be zombies or not, so they kind of just let you guess. At least it seemed to infect the worst of the college campus: The rapists and easy chicks (they allude to, not sure again who they were targeting here). This turns into a very short rampage of death which wasn't too satisfying and occasionally amusing but in the end, very average. If you are feeling nostalgic, you'll be able to get your feel of those 80s tunes and more during the Halloween party that is the majority of the finale of this one. About the only part that does go a bit overboard with its nasty intentions.
