In the world of heavyweight boxing, Charles L. "Sonny" Liston met an unexpected turn during a championship bout. Early on, a right hook from Muhammad Ali, which appeared to hold little power, sent Liston to the mat. This moment would go on to be referred to as the "Phantom Punch." Mysteriously, Liston's life ended sometime after.
