A Finnish researcher arrives in Russia to study its hunting traditions. Invited to join a chaotic hunting expedition, he finds himself among flamboyant companions: an Army general, a police detective, a local forest ranger, and several big-city types from St. Petersburg. Their noble intentions quickly dissolve into a whirlwind of endless vodka, visits to local farm girls, and utter absurdity.
