Directed by Ted PassonWhere to Watch Patrice: The Movie
- Kevin WardJuly 1, 2025Beautifully touching documentary about a variety of disability issues while simultaneously profiling Patrice, who seems like the most remarkably positive force of nature. Teared up multiple times, probably the most over the fact that Patrice is deeply in love with Garry, but if they were to get married they both would essentially lose their disability benefits. It effectively renders it impossible for them to marry. Even living together could jeopardize their qualifications for benefits. Despite the pitfalls of our social healthcare system, Patrice has an infectious ever positive attitude and is that sort of person that greets every person and situation with kindness. A truly heartwarming doc. Independent Spirit Award nominee.
