Passengers
Directed by Morten Tyldum- Sheila RoseMarch 10, 2026Someone on the Internet said — had this been edited in a different way where the audience also did not know that he woke her up, it would’ve been received differently. Now I can’t rewatch this without that idea in my head and want to re-edit the whole movie myself! However, I still very much enjoyed and really love this movie.
- Adam AbazaFebruary 10, 2026It revolves around loneliness in space and making difficult moral decisions. The core idea is very powerful, but the execution took a safe and overly melodramatic approach. The relationship between the two protagonists is pleasant, but the film could have been deeper and bolder. Visually beautiful and with a calm pacing, it missed the opportunity to pose more profound existential questions. Suitable for light viewing, but falls short of its premise. It was more romantic than scientifically grounded.
- SAID MTSJanuary 30, 2026The film is anchored by the undeniable charisma of Pratt and Lawrence, but it struggles with its own premise. It wants to be a sweeping romance, yet it’s built on a foundation of "space-stalking" and a massive betrayal of consent. Many viewers feel it would have worked better as a psychological horror movie rather than a glossy date-night flick.
- JakeysDecember 30, 2025I didn't mind it but it was very colour by numbers and I think it lets Chris Pratt off way too lightly. I agree with the internet consensus it would have been massively more interesting shot from Jennifer Lawrence's perspective as a thriller. Alas, we got this formulaic drama instead.
- alihoneycuttAugust 29, 2025Incredible movie. Poses the 'What would you do?' question. Feminists hate it because the Chris Pratt character took the Jennifer Lawrence character's experience from her because of his wants, but again, WWYD? But that they hate it is why I like it (any opportunity to piss off a feminist should not be ignored), not to mention it's entertaining. Very underrated and underappreciated film.
